In October 2019, Edith George spoke to us about a massive Red Oak tree that is believed to be the oldest tree in Toronto. She has now confirmed that there have been new developments that may save this tree.  The city of Toronto has approved demolishing the house and creating a park on the land.  This is dependent on raising funds to purchase the property.  

According to the article below, Mark Cullen has donated $100,000 towards the project.
